Attention Juniors!
Juniors will be taking the PSATs this coming Wednesday, October 23rd. Students should bring their fully charged ipad to school for the exam. They cannot charge and take the exam at the same time, so it's important their ipads are charged the night before. Students must use a school ipad for the exam. If they need to borrow one, Mr. Dagget will have them available the morning of the exam. If your student has an accommodation that includes extra time, they will have a bag lunch available during one of their breaks. These students should also prepare to take the 2:10 bus, as they will not be finished with testing at 11:00. If you have any questions, please reach out to the testing coordinator, Samantha Teixeira (samantha.teixeira@gorhamschools.org).
What is the PSAT/NMSQT® Test?
The PSAT/NMSQT® (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is a standardized test administered by the College Board and is now digital. It prepares you for the SAT® Test and serves as your entrance exam for the prestigious National Merit Scholarships. To win, students must take the PSAT/NMSQT® in the fall of Junior year.
