Subject: Afternoon Transportation Update – Bus #27
Dear Students and Families,
As a follow-up to this morning’s bus accident, we want to let you know that Bus #27 will not be available to transport middle school and high school students at dismissal today.
Students who normally ride Bus #27 will need to either:
Take the late bus this afternoon, or
Arrange for parent/guardian pickup.
We apologize for this disruption and appreciate your flexibility as we adjust to today’s circumstances.
Thank you for your continued understanding and support of our students and staff.
Sincerely,
Brian Jandreau
Principal

👩🏫👨🏫 Future Teachers in Action!
Our Exploring Teaching as a Profession students are getting hands-on experience in elementary classrooms as part of their pre-apprentice pathway into education.
This dual-enrollment Early College course lets GHS juniors and seniors:
🍎 Earn both high school credit and 3 USM college credits
🍎 Work side-by-side with teachers and students
🍎 Explore the real world of education and professional teaching
We are so proud of these students as they inspire young learners—and begin their own journey toward becoming educators! ✨

Student volunteers are needed to serve as mentors and role models for each elementary
classroom at Village, Narragansett, and Great Falls as part of the Adopt a Classroom program.
For more information or to apply, review and complete this form as soon as possible if you are
interested. Preference will be given to upperclassmen.

♟️ Had a great time stopping by Chess Club today and challenging Logan to a match—he was super gracious to play chess with me! Love seeing students connect with each other (and me!) face-to-face, phone-free, and having fun.

🌲🔨 Our students have been busy putting learning into action—landscaping around the portables, building a new shed for the tennis team, touring a lumber mill, and even getting outdoors to enjoy Maine’s natural beauty. Hands-on experiences like these build skills, teamwork, and lasting memories! 💪🍂

🎨👟 In Ms. Dolley’s Art 1A class, students are putting their observation skills to the test with a still life drawing of their shoes. Using viewfinders as a tool, they’re learning how to focus on shapes, proportions, and details to bring their drawings to life.

🎨🖌️ During today’s Clubs & Activities period, students in our Color Me Calm Club took some time to relax, de-stress, and get creative with coloring. A perfect reminder that art isn’t just fun—it’s also a way to recharge the mind! 💡✨

We have Clubs and Activities tomorrow -- Thursday, September 18th. Don't forget to review all the new clubs and sign up.
