Welcome Back to Gorham High School!
Thank you to all of our students and families for making the opening of the 2026–2027 school year so energetic and successful! It was fantastic seeing so many of you at our Open House and watching our students bring positive energy into our classrooms and newly expanded spaces. School Picture Day & 9th Grade Vision Screening (Friday, Sept 4)
GHS Picture Day is scheduled for this Friday, September 4th, from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM. In addition to picture sessions, all 9th-grade students will participate in state-mandated vision screenings in the clinic immediately following their photo times.
Advisory Highlights for Next Week
Monday, Aug 31 (Guidance Advisory): The GHS counseling team will present to advisories to review available student support resources.
Thursday, Sep 3 (Extended Advisory): Students will discuss how to foster a supportive school environment for all students.
School Safety & Emergency Readiness
Starting next week, GHS will begin conducting routine fire drills. Teachers are spending time during these first five days of school reviewing classroom evacuation routes, primary/secondary exits, and outdoor assembly locations with students. Staff will also review standard emergency procedures, including our Standard Response Protocol (HOLD, SECURE, LOCKDOWN, EVACUATE, SHELTER) and ALICE active threat response options, ensuring every Ram feels safe and prepared on campus.
Cafeteria Updates 🍎
Free Meals for Students: All GHS students continue to receive school breakfast and lunch at no charge.
PIN Pads Are Back: To help lunch lines move quickly, numerical PIN pads have returned alongside barcode scanners. Students are encouraged to memorize their 4-digit cafeteria PINs to keep the line moving smoothly.
