We are proud to share that Principal Brian Jandreau has been named the 2026 MMEA Outstanding Administrator. While this award recognizes Brian’s leadership, it highlights a broader truth: music is essential to a well-rounded education.
"An investment in the arts is an investment in the empathy, discipline, and creativity of our students," says Jandreau. Under his leadership, Gorham continues to prioritize:
Expanded access to music courses for all students.
K-12 alignment to ensure a sustainable path for young musicians.
Collaborative innovation between administration and faculty.
Reflecting on the award, Mr. Jandreau said, "Being honored by the MMEA last night brought me back to my days in the band and choir rooms at Windham High School. I know firsthand how music shapes a young person's life; it certainly shaped mine.
Receiving the 2026 Outstanding Administrator award is a reminder of why we do what we do. It isn't about the title; it's about ensuring the next generation of students has the same opportunities to find their rhythm and their community. I share this honor with the brilliant music educators in Gorham who do the real work every single day."
Congratulations to Mr. Jandreau and the entire Gorham Music Department for this well-deserved recognition of our district's commitment to excellence.
