I hope everyone had a restful and rejuvenating spring break. Whether you traveled or stayed local, we are excited to have you back for the final, busy stretch of the school year. From Spirit Week to upcoming Senior Experiences, there is a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks!

Spring Spirit Week & Pep Rally

Let’s show our GHS spirit all week! Prizes will be awarded daily.

  • Monday: Pink Out

  • Tuesday: Country vs. Country Club

  • Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday (crazy hair/clothes)

  • Thursday: Hawaiian / Beach Day (no bathing suits)

  • Friday: Neon Out & Student Pep Rally (9:05–9:50 am).

Kindness Wins: Vote for Stephanie Ramonas!

Our very own Stephanie Ramonas (Advantage Program Special Education) is a Top 24 nominee for the "Dearfoams Kindness Wins 2026" honor! This recognition includes a chance to win $10,000. Voting is open through May 1st. Please show your support by voting at this link.


Important Reminders, Updates, and Opportunities 

Prom 2026: Masquerade Ball Prom will be held on Saturday, May 2, from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm at the Dunegrass Golf Club in Old Orchard Beach.

  • Tickets: Tickets are $40 and will be on sale during lunches the week of April 27th.

  • Important: There are no ticket sales on Friday, May 1st.

  • Attendance: Prom is for juniors and seniors. Sophomores may only attend as guests.

  • Outside Guests: Students from other high schools may attend, but a completed dance guest form (with signatures and a guest photo ID) must be returned to the main office before purchasing a ticket.

  • CTE Students: Students not on campus during lunch should see Mrs. Teixeira to purchase their tickets.

Senior Experience (May 18–28)

Seniors should submit their proposals by Monday, April 27.

  • Requirements: Students must complete 36 hours with a mentor outside their home and school. They cannot be paid for this work.

  • Teacher Involvement: Please chat up seniors with leads or deadline reminders. If you have leads for volunteer or intern placements, please email Kelli Deveaux.

  • Contracts: Students need a contract signed by every teacher, admin, parents, and their mentor. 

AP Exam Payments & Schedule

If your students are taking an AP exam this May, please note that the final payment is approaching.

  • Balance Due: The remaining $59 for each exam is due by Wednesday, April 29th.

  • How to Pay: Please bring payments (checks made out to Gorham High School) to the main office.

  • Financial Aid: If you have concerns regarding payment, please contact Christina Cifelli.

FAME Junior Financial Aid Night

Junior families, please save the date for an important financial aid information session hosted by FAME.

  • When: Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 6:00 pm.

  • Where: GHS MPAC.

New Online Summer Course: BPH 202

USM is offering a new, 4-week asynchronous online course: American Health: A Social Perspective. This 3-credit course can count toward a student's 18 free Aspirations credits. Interested students should speak with their school counselor to register via ExplorEC.
