This month, Gorham High School is proud to highlight the incredible progress of Aspire Gorham, our community-wide initiative dedicated to student career exposure and exploration. From Kindergarten through 12th grade, we are working to ensure every student can see a clear path to their future.
Highlights from this edition include:
Service & Impact: Academy M students completed "Service Treks," providing lawn care for seniors and packing 200+ food bags for the Backpack Program.
Hands-On Learning: Over 100 Sports Medicine students practiced clinical skills like suturing and intubation with local health professionals.
Math in Action: Our "Math X" extravaganza showed students how geometry and finance apply to careers in navigation and business.
Field Experiences: The Sports Literature class went behind the scenes at the Cross Insurance Arena to learn the business of broadcasting and event management.
Extended Learning (ELOs): We currently have 75 students out in the field—including a future commercial pilot, a dental assistant, and an auto restoration specialist—merging their passions with their academic lives.
Get Involved: We are always looking for local businesses to partner with. If you are interested in coaching a student startup or hosting a job shadow, please reach out to Catherine Paul or scan the QR code in the full newsletter!
