👋 Welcome Back!
We had a wonderful first week of school! It was so good to see our students back in the building. Thank you for helping us start the year on such a positive note. This week brings Picture Day and our first Clubs & Activities Day — two exciting opportunities for our community!

Monday, Sept. 1 – Labor Day

Tuesday, Sept. 2 – White A Day
🧑🎓 Advisory – Students will choose an Advisory Representative for Student Council. This new role will give more students a chance to share ideas and strengthen student voice at GHS.
Wednesday, Sept. 3 – Maroon Day

Thursday, Sept. 4 – White Day
📚 Regular school day
Friday, Sept. 5 – Maroon-EA Day
📸 Picture Day – Students will be called by grade and last name. Seniors need to have their picture taken too 🙂
🎉 Advisory: Clubs & Activities Day – Our first of the year! Students report to Advisory for attendance, then explore clubs and activities.

📚 Teaching & Learning Committee – 2 students needed to help us make Gorham schools the best they can be. Interested? Let Principal Jandreau know!
🏗 Construction Project – Plans are underway for new classrooms and an expanded cafeteria.
📌 Important Reminders
⏰ Attendance: Plan ahead to arrive on time — 3 unexcused tardies = 1 unexcused absence.
🏫 Building Access: GHS opens to students at 7:00 a.m.
🎉 Clubs & Activities:
🔥 Fire Drill: Our first drill is this week. Teachers will review procedures.
🍱 Lunch: Students need IDs to buy lunch. Pro tip — take a photo of your ID on your phone!
🚗 Parking: Shuttle service between GMS and GHS begins this week. Parking stickers will be distributed soon.
📸 Picture Day: Friday — don’t forget to bring your best smile! Ordering details coming soon.
📱 Phones: Allowed before school, between classes, during lunch, after school, and in study hall (with teacher permission).
