Join the GHS Civil Rights Team
Do you think that every student here at GHS should feel safe, welcome, and respected for who they are? The Civil Rights Team does. But we know that in every school community, there are things that happen so that not all students feel this way. Sometimes these things are related to race and skin color, national origin and ancestry, religion, disabilities, gender (including gender identity or expression), or sexual orientation. Maybe you’re aware of some of these issues here in our school… and maybe not. But these things happen.
This is a problem, but you can be a part of the solution. You can join the GHS Civil Rights Team! The Civil Rights Team believes that in our school community, everyone should feel safe, welcome, and respected for who they are. We believe that bias, prejudice, and hate have no place in our school. We can do better than that! We can celebrate our differences and work together to create the kind of school community we all want, where everyone truly belongs.

Weekly meetings are held in the Library each Thursday after school. We know everyone is busy so we hope you can attend when you are able to, even if it is only for a few minutes for a quick check-in.
