GHS Civil Rights Team plans Day of Solidarity

2/16 Day of Solidarity
Today is Gorham High School’s first Day of Solidarity. This is a day where we celebrate the diversity of our school and honor the contributions of all members protected under the Maine Civil Rights’ Act. The GHS Civil Rights Team invites you to pick up a free pin or sticker at lunch and wear it to show your support for all members of our community. We encourage everyone to stand together against bias-based language in Gorham High School’s first Day of Solidarity.

2/15 Day of Solidarity reminder
Tomorrow the GHS Civil Rights Team will be inviting you to participate in a Day of Solidarity. This is a day we have set aside to show our acceptance, support, and alliship with members of our school community who fall under every class that is protected by the Maine Civil Rights’ Act: Race and skin colors, national origin and ancestries, religions, disabilities, sexual orientations, and genders, including gender identity and expression. Tomorrow the Civil Rights Team will be passing out free pins and stickers before school and during all three lunches, to show that GHS stands in Solidarity with all members of our community. We invite you to wear a pin or sticker and join us in celebrating the diversity among us.
