Student Meal Benefits - Application and Information
Complete your application easily and quickly online!!!
Families may apply (or reapply) for benefits at any time during the school year, but in order to avoid any interruption in benefits, Student Meal Benefit Applications must be submitted by September 30th. Applications are sent home with students the first week of school and are also available in every school office, as well as on the school district website any time during the school year in case family finances change.
Please note: A new Student Meal Benefit Application must be submitted every year, even if your child was eligible for free or reduced meals the previous year.
The free/reduced meals benefit applies to breakfast and lunch meals only; not milk, à la carte foods, vending, etc.
As students take a meal, their PIN will be recorded and their account charged. Each purchase must be tracked by federal regulations. No child ever needs to reveal whether they are free/reduced/paid. This is confidential information.
Lunch vs. À la carte at GHS & GMS
The school cafeteria will continue to serve all of the lunch options that they have been providing this year. The meals include an entrée, small milk or water, fruit and/or vegetable. Menus are available on the school website and the Dining Services facebook page.
In addition to these free lunches, the cafeteria will offer à la carte items!
These items will include desserts, specialty drinks, snacks, and rotating entrees which are not free. The à la carte items must be paid for with funds added to the student’s account prior to the day of purchase. Funds can be added to the account via PayPams or by cash in a labeled envelope. Student ID cards will be scanned rather than utilizing the pinpads.
