hi everyone we are the JJ's civil rights came and we feel that is important to address by space language being used at our high school today we are focusing on the art the art is an insult used to attack people with physical and intellectual disabilities the r-word was introduced in the 1960s as a medical term for people with intellectual disabilities however is why are you speaking to be connected with negative stereotypes as a result in 2010 the medical terminology was changed to intellectual disabilities but the word is still used and in medical terms with negative connotation our society needs to be more conscious of it and realize that cannot be used in the same contacts as the event is very harmful towards the people with physical and intellectual disabilities remember to be conscious of your words thanks for listening
