Junior College Visits

Hello to all Parents/Guardians of Juniors at Gorham High School,

Gorham High School has been working to foster opportunities for all juniors to visit a college campus. In the past, we have been able to send our sophomores and juniors on a college visit, and we are very pleased with the positive impact this has had on our students. Studies have proven that visiting a college campus is one of the most influential activities which increases a student’s likelihood of enrolling and graduating from a college or technical school.

Students will have a choice of attending one of six colleges on either October 16th or 17th. On October 16th, Students may be visiting one of the following schools: Bates, Central Maine Community College, Thomas College or Southern New Hampshire University. On October 17th, students may choose to visit Saint Joseph’s College, The University of New Hampshire and the University of Maine at Farmington. Through a survey, students will be able to select their first and second choice of colleges to visit. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
