We are pleased to announce that it is time to schedule student-parent-teacher conferences to be held October 21st (2:30p.m. – 8p.m.) and 22nd (8a.m. – 2p.m.). These conferences are very important to your child’s learning and to give parents the opportunity to meet with teachers. Almost two months into the new semester, students are ready to review their strengths and identify areas of improvement. In addition, teachers are ready to provide an update on your child’s progress and grades to date.

New Traffic Pattern for Parent Pickup to Start Monday September 13th
Due to traffic on Morrill Avenue after school that has significantly delayed buses from getting to GMS on time (and consequently delaying elementary runs), we are instituting a new traffic pattern for bus and parent pick up beginning Monday, September 13th.
Morning drop off will remain unchanged.
School buses will now be staged and parked on the Robie Park side of GHS. Students will be able to exit the building from one of three doors on the Robie Park side of GHS. This will in effect close Access Road from Morrill Avenue to the high school parking lot from about 1:30 to 2:15.
School vans will pick up in the parking lot off of Morrill Avenue by the Main Office. This will in effect close the front parking by the Main Office from about 1:30 to 2:15.
Parents picking up students need to enter the campus via Ball Park Road by the municipal building or via Access Road from Narragansett Street. Parents will pick up in the former bus loop by the Gym lobby; parents should form a single file line in the bus loop. Once parents have picked up they may either follow the buses out via Morrill Avenue or exit via Access Road toward Narragansett Street.
Neither parents nor students will be permitted to exit via Ball Park Road toward Morrill Avenue.
Please view the map below for further clarification. GHS School staff, including our School Resource Officer, and Gorham Volunteers in Police Support (VIPS) will be present to assist with the change.
